Privacy Policy, Terms of Service & Refunds

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account information: Name, email address, resume details you provide during registration and coaching.
• Resume data: Education history, work experience, skills, certifications, and projects you add to your resume.
• Payment information: Transaction details processed via Razorpay. We do not store your card numbers or bank details directly.
• Communications: Messages sent through mentor sessions, WhatsApp and/or support emails.
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

• Provide services.
• Resume analysis and career guidance (your resume data is processed by our team and/or AI systems to generate suggestions).
• Process payments and manage subscriptions where applicable.
• Send notifications about your account, activity, and updates.
• Respond to support requests.

3. Third-Party Sharing

We share your data with third parties only as needed:

• Razorpay: Payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
• AI service providers: Resume data may be processed by third-party AI APIs to generate analysis and suggestions. Data is sent only as needed for the specific feature and is not stored by these providers beyond processing.
• Mentors and evaluators: If you opt into mentorship or resume verification, relevant CV details and CV data may be shared with the specific mentor.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third-party marketers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for two years, except where we are required by law to retain it (for example, payment records for tax compliance, which are retained for up to 7 years).

5. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a summary of your personal data and how it is being processed.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
• Grievance redressal: Lodge a complaint if you believe your data rights have been violated.

6. AI Features

Parts of askNG may use artificial intelligence to help you get more out of the session. We may send the text needed for AI suggestions — for example: Resume Review, resume text, extracted PDF text, or LinkedIn profile text you provide, plus the target job description. We do not send your email, payment data, or unrelated profile information along with the AI request.

7. Cookies

We use cookies for:

• Authentication: Session cookies to keep you logged in.

We do not currently use third-party tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and notify you.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to ng@askng.in.

9. Children's Privacy

askNG is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, please contact us and we will remove the data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Grievance Officer

For any privacy-related concerns or complaints, contact ng@askng.in. We will respond to grievances within 30 working days from the date of receipt.

1. Module Purchases

You may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase, provided you have not used any credits or sessions. Once credits have been consumed or sessions completed, the purchase is non-refundable. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session, or no-shows, are non-refundable.

2. Mentorship Sessions

Mentorship session refunds follow the same 24-hour cancellation window. If a mentor cancels or is unavailable, you will receive a full refund or credit to reschedule.

3. Failed Transactions

Failed payments and transactions are to be taken up with Razorpay in accordance with their payment policies.

4. How Refunds Are Processed

• Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days and credited to the original payment method.
• The actual time for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
• Razorpay processing fees, if any, may be deducted from the refund amount.

5. Refund Request Method

To request a refund, email us at ng@askng.in with:

• Your registered email address.
• The transaction ID or payment receipt.
• Reason for the refund request.

We will review your request and respond within 48 hours.
